Life is busy and hectic and sometimes help is needed to manage the stress and the worry that comes with it. That is where the practice of mindfulness comes in handy. Mindfulness is noticing what is taking place inside of ourselves and in our outer environment, in the present moment. Practicing mindfulness can help us better build our capacity for focus and concentration and lead to a greater sense of happiness and well-being.
Trish Johnson from the Manitou Center will teach a four-week Introduction to Mindfulness Series at the Winona Public Library. The class will meet Thursdays in November from 6-7 PM in the library’s Lower Level Programming Room, with the exception of the November 9th class which will meet at the Winona Friendship Center (251 Main St.). Class dates are: November 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 30th.
