Living Well with Chronic Conditions

Tuesday, May 7th, through Tuesday, June 11th, from 2-4 PM

Living Well with Chronic Conditions is a FREE six-week program designed by Stanford University for people who have chronic conditions, or live with someone who does. A chronic condition is any health problem that is long term. This includes arthritis, heart disease, depression, obesity, anxiety, diabetes, and more. During the six-week session, participants receive support from trained leaders and other workshop participants. They learn effective techniques on how to deal with pain, frustration, fatigue, and emotions. Additional topics include exercise, healthy eating, better ways to communicate about their condition with doctors and family members, problem-solving, and goal-setting. It is open to anyone over the age of 18.

The six-week class will begin on Tuesday, May 7th and run through Tuesday, June 11th.  Participants will meet from 2-4 PM in Bell Art Room. Materials, as well as light refreshments, will be provided.  Space is limited so please pre-register by calling Sue Degallier at 507-450-0287.   This class is sponsored by Active Aging Programs with Catholic Charities of Southern MN.
