First Wednesday of the Month at 4:30 pm from May-August

grow stronger through civic participation. In this new book club, we’ll read books from a
range of viewpoints, sparking discussions on local action, bridging divides, and the roles
of people and governments in shaping our communities. Come ready to challenge your
own ideas, engage with diverse perspectives, and discover practical ways to build a
more connected community and world.

Please register below (please note, a SELCO library card is required to borrow a copy – library card online form).

  • June 4: I Never Thought of it That Way by Mónica Guzmán looks at how
dialogue and empathy can bridge divides in understanding, even across
    polarized political ideologies.

by Priya Parker provides an inspiring array of examples and practical tips for
hosting gatherings that spark connections, joy, and resilience.

community-driven solutions to building sustainable, resilient towns and cities.
