Start your week with Monday morning exploration! Beginning June 10, join us Mondays at 10 AM for hands-on crafts, activities, and experiences. This series is great for ages 6 and up. Children under age 9 must be accompanied by an adult. Locations may change. No registration required.

Free lunch will be provided for youth under age 18 from the Winona Area Public Schools Lunch Bus at 11 AM. On dates where we host at the library, the Lunch Bus will still be at Windom Park at 11 AM.

June 10: Design a pocket-sized nature collector at Windom Park

June 17: Plants & Their Helpers with Happy Dancing Turtle at Windom Park
Why are plants important? We’ll do an interactive activity to see how plants are pollinated and then see how far certain animals can disperse seeds. We’ll make our own “helicopter seeds” to throw and spin.

June 24: Bats in the Blufflands with Whitewater State Park at Windom Park
Learn about Minnesota’s bat population and the dreaded White Nose Syndrome that threatens their world. We will separate fact from fiction about these fascinating little animals.

July 1: Create a clay creature at the Library

July 8: Lego Free Play at the Library

July 15: Winona Area Public Schools Herky Bus at Windom Park

July 22: Nature Bracelets: Weaving with Natural Fibers with Whitewater State Park at Windom Park
The early Indigenous people of the region crafted tools from resources of the forest. Explore some of these early technologies, including how to transform plant fibers into twine. Participants will make a bracelet to take home!
