Interested in a field trip, tour, storytime, or presentation in your classroom? Librarians are eager to work with educators, both in the library and in the classroom, to help students succeed. To schedule any of the visits described below, use the linked forms or call us at 507-452-4592. We will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs, but advance notice is required. All library services are free!
How to Schedule a Tour
Help your students learn about the many resources and programs available in their community with a fun and free visit to the library. Visits are customized to your classes’ needs and can include a tour, storytime, booktalks, library skills workshops, research presentations and more. Call us at 507-452-4592 or fill out our online form.
Do You Want to Get Library Cards During Your Visit?
Want to help your students get their own library cards before your class or group visits the library? Check that box on our scheduling form and we will make arrangements for applications to be sent home in advance of your visit. (Completed applications usually need to be received 1 week before a scheduled visit for processing.)
Storytime in the Classroom
Can’t travel to the library? Let the library come to you! Our Youth Services librarian can visit your classroom with stories, songs, and more! Themes vary and may be tailored to fit your curriculum. To schedule a storytime in your classroom, call us at 507-452-4592 or fill out our online form.
Other Types of Library Visits
Storytime isn’t all we can do! Our librarians are happy to tell your students about the library and its vast resources. We can tailor presentations to your specific needs, including book talks (where great books from our collection are highlighted for each grade level in an interesting and exciting way), database tutorials, and library skills instruction. To schedule a visit to your classroom, call us at 507-452-4592 or fill out this online form.
