Learn a Board Game Day

Did you know that board games can help you build memory, logic, and reasoning skills even as an adult? Every third Saturday in May – August 2023 (except for July) from 10 am -12 pm learn a different board game during the Winona Public Library’s program Learn a Board Game Day. Every month, participants will learn a new game. Registration is required. To register, click the link below or call the Library’s Reference Desk at (507) 452-4860.

On Saturday, May 20th, participants will learn Ticket to Ride. The game is a strategic cross-country train adventure.

IceCool is a family-friendly board game that will be taught on Saturday, June 17th. This a game of skill involving none other penguins.

In July, Learn a Board Game Day will be on Friday, July 21st from 12-2pm. Food and beverage will be available at this even and players will play the trivia game, Wits and Wagers. The best part of this game is that you can place bets on other players’ answers.

The Crew will be taught on Saturday, August 19th. This is a co-op (pursuit) trick-taking card game.

Games/activities will be provided during the program for all ages while each game is being taught.
