Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading Program

June 7th-August 13th

Join Winona Public Library for a summer of adventure that will help maintain and improve your reading skills!

Our free program rewards children and teens ages 0-18 for reading this summer. Starting June 7, visit Youth Services or go to our Summer Reading Prize Program webpage to register.

It’s easy: read what you want, where you want, when you want. Read a book, magazine, or screen; be read to by an adult; listen to audiobooks—it all counts! For every 100 minutes of completed reading, you'll earn a prize. You can earn up to 5 prizes. Prizes can be claimed at Youth Services during a scheduled browsing appointment starting June 28, or during distribution week August 9-13.

Besides prizes for reading, we've got a bunch of fun outdoor and virtual programs this summer! Download the full Summer Reading Program Calendar of Events (PDF). To keep everyone safe, please wear a mask at programs if you're able, and stay home if you feel sick. Activities and dates are subject to change. Additional programs may be added, so check our website for updated info. Registration is required for programs with an asterisk*. To register, visit each individual program page listed in the grid below or contact Youth Services.
