On Tuesday, October 17th at 4:30pm in the Library’s Bell Art Room teens ages 13-18 are welcome to meet with the Joy Labs’ Sarah Johnson to discuss brain stuff. Our nervous system is designed to keep us alive–which sometimes is at odds with our ability to take in new information. Dr Dan Siegel developed the concept of the Window of Tolerance to help us be more aware of and effective in responding to our internal states. In this interactive session, we will learn a bit about our nervous system and how to respond when we’re out of our Window. There will also be time for art and mini-murals. Registration is required.
