You can now sign up to receive text messages about programming, closures, and more from the Winona Public Library. To sign up for alerts, go to cityofwinona.com/list.aspx. You will need to sign in using your email then uncheck “I prefer to receive HTML emails when available” and check “I would like to be able to receive text messages on my mobile phone. Provide your cell phone number and select the phone icon next to the Winona Public Library. You can also sign up for notifications from other City Departments.

This is different from signing up for hold notifications for materials. To sign up for these notifications, go to our library catalog homepage, log into your account with your library card and PIN then click on “My Account.” In the Personal Information tab, navigate to SMS Notifications and an SMS Notification. You will be asked for your cell phone number and can select to receive hold notifications, due date reminders, and overdue notices.
